| The function of a peel is to create an even and controlled exfoliation of several layers of damaged skin cells. The process exposes a fresh layer of skin improving skin tone and texture in addition to removing old, weathered, and damaged skin cells. Peels can smooth skin texture, remove pigmentation, remove wrinkles, tighten the skin, and improve scars. The depth of a peel is chosen depending upon the depth of the problem to be improved. The deeper the peel, the more improvement and the more recovery time.
Lactic Acid/Antioxidant Peel • $65
This light peel is appropriate for all skin types, especially extremely sensitive and rosacea. Combines lactic acid, green tea and vitamins. It is a non-stinging alternative to traditional peels, leaving skin brightened and plump with hydration.
Glycolic Acid/Antioxidant Peel • $60
A highly effective light peel that combines glycolic acid with PROTECTIVE antioxidants and vitamins. Leaves the skin with a refreshed more “dewey” look without the “downtime” of the stronger chemical peels.
The Cardiff Ultra Peel • $120
This session combines our medical grade microdermabrasion with the additive exfoliation and skin renewal of a glycolic/lactic or salicylic/mandelic combination chemical peel.
Jessner's Peel • $99
This peel diminishes fine lines, reduces pore size, evens skin tone, and smoothes texture. Jessner's peels have relatively little down time. Can be used on the chest and hand areas as well.
TCA Peel • $99
For those who want the most dramatic and rapid improvement possible. TCA peels help with age spots, acne, wrinkles, sun-damage, shallow scars, pre-cancerous skin growths and hyperpigmentation. TCA peels may require some down time. This will be discussed in detail at your skin evaluation. While most commonly used on the face, can also be used where you have other signs of aging and sun damage like the neck, arms, hands, and chest.
Post TCA Levulinic Acid Enzyme Mask • $25
This mask is designed for your follow up visit. It includes an enzyme mask to encourage the sloughing off of the peeling skin. This mask will help to reveal your new, fresh, vibrant skin.
Designer Peels • $150 - $1500
These peels are designed for each individual's specific needs. They are designed to penetrate to different depths of the skin depending upon the depth of the problems in various areas of the skin and they use different modalities based upon the problems being addressed in different areas of the skin.
Obagi Blue Peel • $1000
The Obagi Blue peel adds blue dye and saponins to TCA to achieve an even layer(s) of acid onto the skin and slower penetration of acid into the skin. It is performed by the doctor, provides the deepest of the peels, and results in the greatest improvements. Because of the depth of the peel, it has the greatest recovery time of all the peels.
