Dr. Powell is a Board Certified surgeon with twenty years of experience and thousands of surgical cases under his belt. He is dedicated to providing state of the art cosmetic care, in a safe and non-threatening manner, and at a fair and reasonable price. Dr. Powell has created a team approach at The Cardiff Medical Spa where the estheticians coordinate each client's ongoing care. His goal is to improve each individual's self esteem and self image by enhancing their existing beauty.

Mary Roberts

Mary Roberts is a highly skilled and experienced operating room nurse who partnered with Dr. Powell to create The Cardiff Medical Spa. Mary moved to the San Diego area from Virginia in 2003 and expanded her expertise into esthetic laser care. She is certified by Lumenis in the use of the diode Lightsheer laser and Quantum IPL to perform laser hair removal and photofacials and by Iridex to use the Varilite laser to remove cheery angiomas, spider veins, and broken capillaries. Mary's clients are treated to state of the art laser care matched with the caring, personal touch of a highly qualified nurse.


Deborah Bennett

Deborah Bennett is the owner of Future Faces Skin Care located in The Cardiff Medical Spa. She is a licensed esthetician with over 20 years experience in the beauty field. She has advanced training in anti-aging, microdermabrasion, myotonology, and permanent make-up. Deborah loves using her make-up artist and esthetic skills to bring out the young, healthy, and radiant beauty of each of her clients. Deborah takes special pride in creating the perfect look for new brides and their bridal party on that special wedding day.


Jennifer Nagel

Jennifer Nagel loves being a medical esthetician.  She has five years experience doing massage, esthetics, and medical esthetics in day spas, medical spas, and on a cruise ship. Jen has advanced training in microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and myotonology. Jen gets excited about creating individualized skin care programs that address the specific needs of each of her clients. She has a special interest in Rosacea. Jennifer really enjoys pampering and “going the extra mile” with her clients to achieve the results they desire in the comfortable, safe, and relaxing environment of The Cardiff Medical Spa.


Erin Riley

Erin Riley is an esthetician and patient manager for the spa. She is a woman of many talents.

She grew up in San Diego and has a special place in her heart for Cardiff by the Sea. Erin is a mother of three. She has ridden horses since she was a child and worked as a horse trainer for a Del Mar barn and office manager for a Solana Beach physician prior to coming to The Cardiff Medical Spa.

She has a special interest in anti-aging having obtained advanced training in natural healing after completing her esthetician training. She adds the special dimension of nutrition to staying young and maintaining beautiful skin.  Erin also loves treating all sorts of acne related problems using the most advanced technologies and skin care programs.

Everyone loves Erin because she takes extra time to listen carefully to each individual's concerns and works in concert with them to design treatment programs to meet their specific needs.

Amy Jo Parker grew up in North County and LOVES it here and why not, she enjoys the great outdoors and the beach in addition to snowboarding, jogging, yoga, traveling, continuing education and spending time with her boys… her three chihuahuas (what were you thinking?)

Embracing fun and beauty, aesthetician work comes naturally. Amy Jo studied at Poway Academy and has received special training in myotonology, chemical peels, lymphatic drainage, high frequency and aromatherapy. She especially enjoys, and exhibits amazing talent for, shaping eyebrows and make-up artistry. Most importantly, Amy Jo is truly enthusiastic about caring for her clients and helping them reach their pinnacle of glowing, healthy skin.
